Remnant:

noun

A part or quantity that is left after the greater part has been used, removed or destroyed.

Drawing on core values of longevity, commitment and resilience, and a determination to subvert the practices of modern bridal wear, REMNANT embodies its namesake.

Over 70 % of the collection consists of dresses, separates and accessories evolved from excess materials, offcuts and existing garments from the LOVELONG studio that would have otherwise been thrown away.

Working with remnants narrows down the risk of over- indulgence, eliminates the burden of waste and instead, informs a much more controlled and rigorous, modern silhouette for a bride who seeks an aesthetic that will endure beyond her wedding day.

The garments are pieced together with spirited combinations of luxurious silk crepe, satin, chiffon and organza in a variety of mid length, relaxed bridal dresses in bias cut, structured wide leg trousers in a crisp peau de soie, and playful patchworked bomber jackets.

Brides can choose the pieces in the collection in their original combinations or choose an alternative selection of remnants of their own or from donated remnants from other bridal brands partnering with LOVELONG to re-story the signal use nature of a wedding dress.
